DM500 Installing Skins - Not enough room?

Hi guys
Hope someone can help me out.. been trying to read like a madman but never found a way to work around my problem.
I bought a DM500 and im loving it.. but i would love to try some other skins. The ones i fall for is too big.
Ive tried to remove some stuff that i wont need but im scared to mess things up.

Is it possible to work around this error cos of to little place in /var?

I dont suppose there is a way because there is only so much space reserved for /var... So the only solution is to put another image on your box and then put on the new skin... there should be plenty of space for just the 2... i suppose you have a number of other stuff on there that you possibly dont need... a bit extreme just for a new skin.... Another solution would be to reduce the size of the skin first.... just a few things to consider...
