    DM600 IDE cable

Hello chaps - new to the forum, hope you don't mind my first post not being in the introductions section.

I've just purchased a DM600C clone from LinuxSat.co.uk. At the same time, I've also purchased a 120GB 2.5" IDE drive (I was sad to learn that I can't use the 150GB SATA drive I have spare from my macbook). As the Dreambox hasn't arrived yet, can anyone in the know tell me if these clone boxes include the necessary 44 pin IDE cable? I assume so, as they seem to be quite hard to come by at the usual suspects - eBuyer and the like.

Secondly, I notice there are some informative quick-start guides to setting up the DM500 for n00bs to the DVB-C arena such as myself. However, are there are guides to getting the DM600C running with Virgin Media with a softcam?

All advice, bad and good, much appreciated. It's nice to see a forum where we're actually free to discuss such topics.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I'm planning to install the PLi Jade 3 image. Is this a good choice or are there any better alternatives I should be aware of?

Well chaps, sad to see no replies, but for future reference if nothing else, it would appear that these boxes do include an IDE cable. However, I wouldn't bother with a clone - it seems that mine doesn't work right out of the box. I have tried both the original and PLi images, and both lock up on the first stage of setup when selecting TV system/colour format settings. Looks like it's going straight back to LinuxSat...
