Connecting 500c to aerial socket on TV ????

I am having trouble here, ive been trying to connect my 500c to my tv using a standard rf lead (you know, the type of cables you normally get with a dvd/video player etc to connect to your tv if you dont have a scart socket).

I connect it up using the rf cable, i turn the tv to analog mode searching, i make sure the box is switched on and on a channel (sky sports for example), i then search for a signal using the tv search function, ive tried manual tuning and auto tune, but it doesnt pick the dreambox up.

whats going on, does anyone know ?? it works fine with the scart cable, but i want to try it with the rf cable like i just said.

Hi mate,
There is no rf output fom a 500c/t(well i have never seen one with rf out), you are probably connecting to the loop through on the tuner, this will not give you the chans that the dreambox clears.
But it should give you the fta chans as it is just your main cable feed being looped through the tuner.
Only other way i can think of is to get a modulator which connects to scart connection and changes the signal to rf fomat!

The other socket is for connecting another box. The only way to connect is by scart or phono leads.
