DM500 help

I have just found out that after replacing the power cable on my 500c that it no longer works. Would replacing the power cable break my box. the cable I brought was:-
INPUT -240V
OUTPUT-6V - 500MA
i UNDERSTAND I ONLY NEEDED 2A OUTPUT WOULD THIS BREAK MY BOX.

If it needs 2 amps then it will not work off a 500 ma supply and my DM500 needs a 12 volt supply not 6 volt.

the output on mine 500C transformer is 12v 2ma so maybe not broken after all just need 12v

opps sorry 2A not ma .. (i was more thinking of the Voltage)

2ma? Not very likely. Is it not 2 amps?

I have just borrowed my mates 500c power cable. The green power light is on but nothing else.

What else are you expecting? They only have a green LED don't they?
