    DM500 Remote control problems....

    Hello everybody
    I have an annoying problem...
    I have a DB7000S and recently added a 500C.
While the remote control of the 500C doesn't affect its bigger brother, the remote control of the 7000S works on the 500C as well, so if I turn the 7000S on, the cable receiver turns on as well and I have to constantly work on both remotes to access what I want.
Is there anything I could do to solve the problem?
    Thanks

In the scart lead from DM500C, you could disconnect pin 8 this is the wire that signals to the TV that the device wants the tv focus, the auto switching control if you like.
It would mean that you would have to manually set your tv to look at the DM500c feed.
but that would solve your problem.
For example, skyboxes have a setting in the menus that allow you to disable this softly.

There is a plugin call DBSwitch that you can use to lock out one of the dreamboxes with a combination of keys.

This is why I have a Technomate as my satellite receiver .

          Lots of answers! Great forum!
Thanks nivlem and junkiepilot: not to keen to fiddle with the scart and my wife would definitely kill me if I brought home yet another remote!!!
Devilfish's suggestion is certainly very appealing and I am going to try it as soon as I can.
          Cheers everybody!

              Hi Devilfish
I downloaded the plugin but, I am ashamed to say, I am not sure how to use it!
