    DM500C DK1.1 Streaming to VLC

    Hiya,

Not actually posted on here before.

I've been reading many many many topics regarding the DM500C and various images much to the angry wifes dismay this Sunday. Infact i was on here "researching" from 11am till 8pm. With...a positive outcome.

I purchased a DM500C from a local "chap" which i think had a Neutrino image or an updated Neutrino image as according to some of you. No new Neutrino releases have been made for over a year. Anyhow. The image wasn't very good at all but had the ability to view via the browser something i think called YWeb which allowed channels to be viewed either in the browser with the activex applet from VLC Player or allowed you to open a netowrk stream from VLC player.

My question is, now i have managed to understand flashing via telnet and Null Modem cable, installing plugins, ftp'ing to the box and all fancy things with the magic bits and bobs i've now got the box setup the way i like it. Is there a guranteed way of streaming back the video + audio with this DK1.1 image? I'm already aware of the WEB-X TV but using various versions of VLC im not able to get this to work, nor using the (vlc_)button. I've searched all forums both here and affar but still no definatve guide. The only thing i'm able to find is an image named PLI which can do streaming. 've not got another Sunday of researching free but also wondered if the magic bits can work on a PLI image?

Thanks again for all the users info on these forums as i managed to get myself 99% of the way with all the info already on here!

    Ck

Do a search on '4shared' for mFafag v4 dreambox viewer, windows based and works fine with dk1.1, also have a look here:
