    DM500 Green screen!!!!

    Hello
My 500C has just started behaving erratically.
When on, the TV screen goes completely green (although you can still watch the channel)!
I know it is a problem with the scart connector as I had the same problem with another 500C and Buyingthings kindly replaced it with this one.
No problems until I had to remove the scart to flash a new image and started getting green screens once reconnected.
Initially I could fix it by adjusting the position of the scart a little at the back but now green all the time!
I have been emailing Buyingthings for 2 days but no reply as yet.
Concerned it is a faulty batch.
    Any advice?

Go to Menu > Setup > System Settings > A/V Settings.

Adjuste the video settings and see if it brings it back. It might be that your image is set for component video (YUV).

You could also try a new/different SCART lead.
The solder joints in them can oxide's easily while in use, then they can fail when moved around.

.....or use component cable for a temporary fix

          Hi
Very good idea there from shady77, if you don't cure it with a new scart lead and trying it on another TV then it could be the scart socket motherboard connections inside the 500c and trying/using the component (RCA Phono) output would eliminate a scart output fault.

              Update!
I followed Devilfish's excellent suggestion and changed the A/V settings.
Although it wasn't set for component video, adjusting the settings seems to have sorted out the problem and I haven't had problems since!
              Thanks to everybody!
