    dm500c no bbc 1 and 2 missing

    ok guys so a neighbourcame around my house a few hours ago
    and asked if i know anything about tvs ive fixed a few televisions in the past so i went around thinking that i would sort out the proble with no trouble

    ok so i arrived and she said she was missing the 2 channels bbc1 and 2

    i assumed that the signal was bad untill i seen the box

    its the dream multimedia
    dm500-c dvb
    and
    i noticed a option to restart something called neutrino whic i assume is some thing used to hack this box as she said she gets all channels

    ok this isnt my box and i realy realy dont want to mess it up
    and turn it into a brick

    we live in the walsall area of the west midlands

    what can i do to fix this for my neighbour will i need to flash it ??

    ime very very new to this and a pretty slow learner so please go gentle thanks

            what img is on the box....what does it say on the boot up screen?

            u will probably need to rescan for missing channels but how to do this depends on the image....

            walsall settings are
            ACTION=&Walsall W.Midlands,smlops
            net id = 40974
            freq = 131000
            sym rate = 6952
            chk scan settings

            but with frequencies changing with the introduction of the new firmware you'll need to rescan....

            cheers

              ok sorry i didnt say but the channelk arent actually missing it just says channel not available also i did a rescan it had like a radar on the right hand side it found all the channels but still wouldnt let me view them it just had a blank screen with channel not available

              all other channels work apart from bbc 1 and 2

              the image is called neutrino (i think)

                  I too have lost just BBC 1, 2, 3 & 4. Everything else is still working fine.

                  I was using DW2.0, but I've just tried the DK1.1 image with keys etc and still no BBC channels everything else is still working fine.

                  I'm in EX-TW West Midlands too!

                  I've tried a manual scan on 131 to no avail.

                    did you input the correct symbol rate?
                    6952 and
                    inv box must be 'checked' and then scan

                      Yep! I've been using Dreamboxes for several years and I know my way around them fairly well now. I used the 6958, 00131 and the inv box ticked and un-ticked. I've even tried a network search too. But still no BBC channels. I've also tried the automatic scan using Bruteforce and 6958 as well as several manual scans using known working frequencies and network scans, but still no BBC! I am getting BBC Parliament and all the BVTServices as well as all the usual FTA and S*y etc, I just cannot now get the regular BBC ones!

                        Confirmed as a problem in the West Midlands also. I can still get these channels via the "Audio Desc." options for those channels, but the normal channels don't work. Rescan doesn't fix anything
