Hey first thanks to all the memers here for excellent info on the site, its a leraners dream!!
Anyways I need litte help, I have a Dreambox 500C and have followed all the tutorials, I have flashed the image, ftp'ed the images, then chosen bruteforce UK to scan

and the box works and picks up all the channels and their programme schedules but only bbc1/2, itv, channel4 and channel5 work, can someone help me please..

have u got the free only box ticked by any chance??

Hi,
my brothers dreambox 500c lost most of its channels a couple of days ago. Only freeview were avaialble. Having spent nearly 2 days trying to figure out the problem, including doing a factoty reset, downloading lateset dk_v1.1.img (both manual and via ftp). I still only pick up freeview (no Sky sports etc.) If anyone as any fixes or info., I would be vey greatful.

The image that you have probably comes without keys. Either you need the keys file or a new image file.

Removing unwanted Satellites

I just setup an old DM7025 last night after finally installing the full satellite configuration. I have just 3 satellites 13, 19 & 28. This is setup with Enigma2

I have confiured the box for these satellites and then carried out a scan (including delete before scan).

The result is I see in the 'boutique' all satellites in existance (well looks like it). I want to remove all the 'unwanted' satellites.

I installed and setup dreamboxedit. Copied the files to my PC, selected one satelitte at a time and deleted al the channels from the listing of an unwanted satellite. I then loaded this back to the DB but I still see all these unwanted satellites.

I would appreciete any help. I guess I could work out which .XML holds this data and manually edit this, but wanted a safer way to do this. I did a quick search but could not see this answered therefore have joined here so I can post and join the community as a newbie which I hope will not be the case for long.
