    Quick question from a NOOB

Hi all, My mate has an existing 600 box. If i want to get the exact same replica as his box onto mines, would I have to copy the following

    Update Keys - var/keys
    var/scce
    services - /var/tuxbox/config/enigma
    userbouquet - /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/cable
    and the cables.xml file

Is there anything I am missing out. Cheers

why dont you just make a backup using dreamup then you can flash your box with the full complete image, then your up and running with an exact copy of the image.

Alright Dave, I have tried doing that but when I put my box in it only gives me the option of flashing. I have no idea why. I have tried different versions of dreamup but I get no backup button. You know why this is?

Its a 600PVR and I have tried backing it up using dreamup. I also did it with the telnet command which created an image but could not put back onto the box. Was not sure how to actually

Any help would be fantastic. Do you happen to have a version of dreamup which has the backup option.

Also how would i restore the backup back onto the box. its an IMG file

if you have a .img file that you have created that is what you need when using dreamup you still select flash>select the .img file that you have backed up>then click no when the pop up appears>then the image should be uploaded to the box.

if that does not work try reading this thread i think it may help you but if you have successfully backed up the image already stick with the dreamup option above.

If you managed to create a backup image with an .nfi extension than you can flash it onto your box using the web interface i.e type in the ip address of your box in IE and than flash by pointing to the location of your backup image.
