    DM800 FTA only

Hi all, first post so please be gentle with me!

I have a friends DM800c that I am trying to set up for him. I've done lots of searching on how to get the none fta channels to clear but now I'm struggling.

I have had a Dbox2 for quite some time so I'm familiar with ftping etc.

I've tried a Pli and a Gemini image but seem to be stuck at the same point.
I managed to get a cable.xml file over and do a scan and it finds all the channels.
Only the fta are clear. I've downloaded the dreambox_stuff file and ftp'd the keys and ssce folders over.
I've tried the evocam 2.17 and a mgcam in the gemini image but am struggling with cams in the pli image.

I would be truly greatful if someone could point me in the right direction!!

    Never used the 800

But if it's like the dm600 try using a different version of evocam usually 2.14 works and leave it on sky sports for a minute or two to decrypt.

This may help or try an earlier version of evocam

Maybe some dm800 users may help further

If you haven't got evocam 2.14 it can be downloaded from the box if connected to the internet

      Thanks for the quick reply.

I guess it's often the case but I got it working about 10 minutes after my post! and I'd spent hours on it.

Still on a Pli image I managed to download evocam and mgcamd. It wouldn't work with evocam but all burst into life with mgcamd.

I now just need to work out how to use the bouquets as its quite different to my Dbox2 running a nutreno image.

Oh well more searching and maybe a new thread..........

        press add bouquet
then use remote to type your bouquets

Use the dreamboxedit to import the bouquets to your pc, much easier arranging them on your pc than trying to use the remote.

I managed to work out Dreamboxedit and it's quite a neat programme.

Not mine but a friends and it's genuine.

I've got it connected via hdmi and the picture quality is superb, better than my aging Sagem Dbox2.

Not had chance to see much hd, but what I've seen so far is impressive.
