Dreambox 500c virgin (help me please)

I recently bought a dreambox 500c and it came with some foreign image and couldn't even get a signal, however I managed to do some reading on the web about flashing it and flashed it to dw1.6.1 then it was working but I only got some freeview channels. Then I flashed it to dw.2.0 and still the same,
so then I flashed it to commander9 and now the box just stays blank with the green light on ? I have dream up software at the mo but I used flashwizard pro to do the flashing for me over FTP.....

I am waiting for a null modem cable that I saw on play.com for ?1.48 including P&P.... when I get the modem cable can I just use the dw 2.0 image again when I reflash it ? and also how do I get the keys for the channels ? espicially updated ones which seem to be hard to get hold of ?

there is a digital kaos image for the dm500 on here whic is suposed to be the dogs dangles
in the download section
but you will need five posts first to get it
then some one may help you with the special files as you will not find them on digital kaos

Best way to get 5 posts is.. Goto the introduce yourself section and welcome 5 people. In your case 2 people.

Copy contents of Keys folder to /var/keys
Copy contents of Scce folder to /var/scce
Go to Sky Sports 1
Hold INFO for more than 3 secs to bring up EMU manager, press OK.

Hi.. Does this Image find the Missing Channels? .. my dreambox has lost pretty much 50% of the channels in the last couple of weeks and the image i am using is over a year old.. so looking for a new one.

All channels are gone now except some free ones.....
I think it is because of the introuction of Macro3 ,an encryption system that changes keys on channels several times daily which sky has incorporated into virgin when buying some of their channels........
Am now going legit with Virgin V+ box and Extra Large Package for only ?18 extra a month........they also threw in a free wireless router for me.......time to upgrade anyway.

Is there a way to use my old dreambox 500c as a second box upstairs? When I get my card & box this week can I put the card into the dreambox upstairs?
