Can anyone tell me if these are specific to one model/image or can they all be used on any dreambox with any image on it? I ask as I have found some with DM7025 in the title, are these only for the 7025?

You can use any softcam with any image they are all designed in the end to enable you to view picture. What you will find is that some softcams will work better on some images than others or some will open some packages better than others. The main softcams being used by everyone are Gbox, Evocamd, Mgcamd, Newcs and Cccam. All really trial and error. -

Next one how do I install a new cam not available directly from the image, I have several files I would like to try all have extensions of ipk (cam****.ipk)Comment

if say you want to put ipk evocamd 2.12 into the lt image ftp to your box put the file in the temp directory
goto addons and do a manual install
if you are adding evocamd 2.12 and you have another version of evocamd in the dreambox delete that first
