DM500 can't ftp (DK1.1)

Hiya, another little issue that hopefully one of you lot can help us with

mates got a dm500c with the DK1.1 image on it, all working fine but for some reason can't write files to the box any longer via ftp...
can read files fine, and write to the tmp file ok, but no where else

tried two different ftp programs, so anyone knwo whats going on?

i'd most probably say that if hes already transfered files over in the past, then maybes it doesnt have enough memory left on the box as 500's have little memory.

have you tried restarting the box to see if that helps?

yeah tried a reboot. didnt help

so is there any easy way of telling how much free space is on there? like through one of the menus or something?

there is but i cant remember off the top of my head, and as i'm boxless at the minute i cant check .

i'm sure if you go to the addon server using the remote and go to download something it will tell you the percentage of /var used m8

me to cant ftp files across on my dm500 with this software with or without cam running

ps i can ftp files to var/keys folder but not to the var_init/keys folder which is where i need to add the files

just worked out you dont put key/scce files in the var_init folder anyway like the noob guide says
you put them in the var/keys and var/scce folders

all working now
