anyone know how to link too tvs (in different rooms) to one box (i know the same programme will be on both) also is it possible to control the box from both rooms

You can get video senders and if you connect them to the device and t o the other tv then you can see the picture on both tv's and also you can change channels from both -
Most of those video senders change channels well but have too much interference, if you can install a long cable the image would be much better, you can buy a cheap video sender just for changing the channels.
If you havent got an rf out on the dreambox what you could do is use an old vcr, you can connect the scart or composite plugs from the dreambox to the vcr and connect a long rf cable from the other tv to the vcr rf out. Once you tune the other tv to the vcr you should see the dreambox on the other tv once the vcr is in av mode.Comment

As stated by Caveman_nige you can get one which does not pickup interference from wirless equipment.
If you do decide to try a digisender I would recomend that you try one from argos or a local store incase it doesn't work fully, then you can return it for a refund or alternative, a bit easier than posting back and forward.
