    No S e t a n t a Sports 1 !?!?!?

    Hi all!

    Lost S e t a n t a Sports 1 today with SNR: 67% AGC: 100% BER: 1654560, All other channels (including S e t a n t a Sports 2)reading SNR: 95% AGC: 45% BER: 0.

Can anyone confirm or deny a service problem at the moment?
    (I'm in Liverpool running Blackbox 500C with DK1.1 & Evocam 2.12)

    Regards

You wont get a pic with BER that high, try a re-scan,or reboot.
Checkout the RED stickies massive amount of info and effort been put into them.

Just done that! re-scanned and re-booted. ALL other channels are OK with BER of 0.

      Very strange!?!?

Had similar problems with skysports 1 and 3 for a while with my box (all other channels ok) I use an attenuator watching these channels and they work fine. only a couple of quid might be worth a try.

If you did a rescan you should have picked up the new BICS channels, try under there see if it's been moved

I watched Setanta 1 last night with no problems but today its just like it's not there! (Similar SNR, AGC & BER values to that of channels that are not transmitting).
I did leave the box in standby for the first time overnight(possibly on Setanta 1), I normally disconnect the mains.

After the re-scan I have lots of new service flags (even for services I already had like SS1 and SSExtra) but no BICS channels though!?!

@Bugaloo41 - Thanks for the advice, I'll pick a couple up from Maplins in the morning to try!

            Thanks for the advice guys!!

Just done a 'Brute Force Scan' and all is now well! Setanta Sports 1 is now back!

Depends what image you have on your box. Normally found using remote, press menu, setup, service searching, then you should get the option for bruteforce scan.

Hi guys, I have just got my box and am also missing setanta sports 1. I have tried to find the brute force option but can't find it. I am using DK v1.1 software and am in Bradford, I have scanned a few times but so far have not picked up Setanta sports 1.

On DK image using remote, press menu, setup, service searching, automatic transponder scan then scroll right to the end of the transponder list and you will get three options

                    1. Bruteforce Uk
                    2. Cable UK sym 6952 (ex TW)
                    3. Cable UK sym 6887 (ex NTL and I think C&W)

Press ok on either option 1 or if you know your former service provider 2 or 3 and that should be you. It will take about 12 minutes to scan.
