DM500 SoftCams and EMUs

Can anyone tell me how to install these on a DM500C, on the DM800 I just put the file in temp (file.ipk) went to install add-on ant ther they were, on the 500 it says none available.

While we are at it where should I put the cables.xml file on a DM500 to enable brute force scan

ipk is for for enigma2 images for dm7025 and dm800
the cable. xml goes in var/etc on the dm500
