rite thanks to you geniuses on ere i have finally got my box working! cant belive it for a noob like myself....

now i darent switch it off

soooo have been looking at the guides for backing up the box....


the telnet way looks hard to me


so could any one give me tips on using null modem cable to back up... would be great and would stop me worrying... thanks

you should be able to use the programe dreamup with a null modem cable

and also missing sky sports news and sky one and setanta sports one should i re scan? thanks

Sky one is not broadcast on cable anymore afaik.

If you are getting any other premium channels, you might want to do a channel scan again. it revealed some missing channels for me.

Use the same guide for flashing an image using dreamup although don't click FLASH, click BACKUP.

have done brutforce uk scan.... south yorkshire tw scan and barnsley tw scan am missing setanta sports 1 and bbc 3 everything else looks spot on...any more ideas thanks guys

By using this method does it also back-up your bouquets aswell?or is that a different thing?

It will backup the full image including services and bouquets.

i guess most versions do for the dm500
not for the 600 , i think ,not sure never tryed it
