    Please help?

When trying to flash FXP connection failed (connection lost keeps coming up

How do I run the the network wizard on my box to see what Ip adress it gives, I know this sounds daft. But I have been going at this for 2 days now.

Please note in network connections DHCP is turned on

    Thanks in adavance

Did you get the ip of the dreambox and put it in flashfxp
Go to menu on your dreambox, scroll to setup then scroll down to expert setup, then communication setup, theres your dream box ip

Sorry had loads of trouble getting back on system kept throwing me off. (I hope I have not upset anyone)

Fergal I have done all that as I explained to Smirnoff, The last question to Smirnoff was as follows

Jerrell: i'm real sorry but how do i find a new ip. Do i just reboot my box after enabling DCHP and a new ip address pops up?

Smirnoff: yea use dchp first and reboot and find a new ip and use that

Everytime I reboot the box on the tv it comes up with the same ip address as per your instruction

I obviously according to smirnoff need to assign a new ip address

Sorry, I am not sure how find a new ip for my dreambox?

                    Please advise?

Smirnoff, i note you put the following goto menu > settings > network. I have menu setting expert set up communications and ip address is there,

You dont need your nullmodem cable connected just the ethernet cable from dm to router will do
you use your wireless laptop connection to connect to your dreambox via your wireless router
password is dreambox not dream box

I always type it as dreambox not dream box

as there is not a network wizard in network manger settings on the box to setone up
