DM600 Steps to install 600c with Hardisk & share with 500c

Hi all,

Just received my 600C clone. So now have 500c and 600c. I want to:

1) Setup a 250GB HD (Model WD 2500BEVE). Do I need to format or anything prior to connecting to 600c or can this all be done once installed via the dreambox ?

2) Confirm the steps I need to install the 600c. As mentioned, familiar with using dreamup & post steps and have used VLC player with no probs,
so just need to know any useful additional steps for the 600c.

3) Both boxes will have seperate IP address. I want to be able to make recordings that have been done on the 600c available to the 500c. What options do I need to use (again, for now, assume I'm using a PLI Jade image)

4) Latly, I also want to confirm how to setup a decent 7-14day epg that will update online automatically.

Apologies for all the questions, but need to be sure before I mess around with the new 'toy'.

just installl the hdd in goto setup>system settings>hard disk setup

to mount your 500 to see your 600

Hi Many thanks.

Tried that and working fine.

I'm having a new issues though. Installed the Pli Jade image for the 600 and working, but find that intermittingly machine freezes when I try looking the recorded files. Only way around for me is to reboot machine.

Looked at a few threads but didnt seem to find any conclusive fix.

Any ideas anyone ?
