    how do i back up my image so i can copy onto another dm500c????

    I have got a working box with a digital kaos image on which i flashed using dream up iam having trouble with my new box ive got the image and keys on fine evocamd wont seem to start. i got told to back up my working image using dream up and flash it onto the new box when i back it up and go to search for it were i have saved it so i can flash onto the new box i doesnt seemed to have saved as an image file that i can use with drem up any ideas iam desperate!!! thanx

    Not used dreamup to do a backup, but im sure someone will be by to help shorlty i think.

    I use telnet to do backups as its quick and very easy, have a read of this:


    All done in minutes.

        I think you can simply click the BACKUP button on Dreamup (instead of the FLASH button) and it will backup the image.

          thnax devilish i have sorted that out now just havin a bit of trouble when i power down i have to go in to tubox command var / bin / and select evocamd212 to get it to start up on my old box it starts up auto would be a great hlp if you could shed some light on this thanx

            That sounds very weird! I would just reflash it with the backup.

            Remember if you are flashing a backup image with Dreamup, when it asks if you want to flash erase after flash, select NO, or else all your backup settings will be lost.
