DM500 box down know channels

spoke to manufacturer . was told loss of channels was not down to hardware but down top software . which means cable receiver .im on virgin erial receiver and cant get shit. virgin have just changed signal code . need update . has anyone reflashed there box lately or anyway 2 get around it .
