500C remote control problem

Hi Guy's

I just got myself a new (clone from Peng) 500C, but the remote control is a bit erratic, as in it dosn't always work, or operates the wrong function. It's not a problem with the actual remote as it operates my other box ok, it seems to be with the actual dreambox. I've taken the remote recieve board out and had a look, but it seems ok, it's kind of like the problems you get with a remote when the batteries are on the way out. Anyone had a similar problem or got any suggestion's? Thanks

hi there,I have the same problem with dm500s ,I can't change the volume at all from dreambox remote control.If somebody have any solution for this problem ,please post me,thank you.

I find that Pengs boxes are good but the remotes are shit.

I've had to replace 3 remotes on Peng boxes.

I always found my remotes ok, but I replaced them with Logitech remotes and have never looked back. After a bit of fiddling the Logitech has all of the functionality of the original, poor remote. Of course Logitech remote are expensive, but if you need a replacement it is worth a look. They can be bought relatively cheap (?30) and do away with all other remotes at the same time. They are streets ahead of the many other popular all in one remotes.
