    Fatal Error

Using a dreambox 500c. I recently updated to evocamd 2.17c and added picons.

But now, everytime I do an automatic scan in any region, I get a fatal error come up about 3/4 into the scan.

It says "Couldn't open servicefile - create

    /var/tuxbox/config/enigma!"

Any ideas on how to solve this?

I also want to know how to get picons to stay. I go to the kaos panel and enable them, but when i reboot the dreambox they are automatically disabled again. How do i make them stay?

i had this happen a while ago and it turned out the image was corrupt.
a reflash of your backed up image will sort it.

Reflash. Thats the only way. Always remember to back up your image once you get it going,

i am surprised your using evocamd 2.17 on a 500, also pic icons.

the 500 dont have much memory and using pic icons will use up all your spare memory up. Same as cam 2.17 its a waste of memory space when you can use 2.12 instead.

you might be running the box with insufficient memory which could cause you problems.

            newest is not always best.
