Dreambox 600c pvr VS 800HD. Help needed!

Hi guys. How are you guys.

Quick question, i have a 600 pvr and am looking at purchasing the 800hd. I want to put this on my projector.

I wanted to know between the 600 and 800 is there a difference between image quality which would be absolutly essential on a projector or is the only difference between these 2 boxes the fact that 800 can broadcast HD Channels.

Forget image quality, if you intend card sharing then steer well clear of the 800 for the time being. It uses Enigma 2 & support is really sketchy at the moment, other forums are full of users bleating about connection & card reading issues.

If image quality is all your worried about than go ahead & buy one, 1080p beats 576i anyday.

great thank you. so an sd channel in your opinion will look better on the 800 than the 600 ie, trouble or e4 for example

yeah because i'm sure it upscales normal sd channels to 1080i

DM800 upscales the pic to up to 1080i, much improved picture over DM500 on my Plasma, and slightly improved on my LCD (Both HD TVs) except for BBC HD wich is vastly superior to all the other stations (No surprise in that)

if i was to run the d600 through an upscaling hd amplifier would that then give the same results in your opinion to the d800 directly as they both upscale to 1080i

No way i didnt realise the DM800 upscales?
Is that for definite? if so im getting one!!!!!

@Bucky As I said 1080i is its max output (Bit like SD stations on Sky HD)

@thevman2k3 I used an upscaler device prior to having the 800, but it was totally c**p! Gave up on it after a few days
