DM600 NOOB...DM600 Keeps going off. Quick Question

Hi all. Last week my dm600 was switched of.. I switched it back on after a day and the screen was blank. So I went to ss1 and restarted the cam.

Same thing happened a few days later. and then again.

Why does this keep hapening. I thought that the box autoupdates, have i used the right files or should I need to leave the box on to autoupdate.

Just wanted to check..

If you have all the correct auto update and can files then it should auto update. It can only do this with it switched on. If there is a key change while it is off and the box was off long enough to miss the updates then the picture will be blank. However the key updates are sent out continuously so your screen should clear within a short while - 30 seconds to a minute is not unusual for me. I never find the need to go to any particular channel, I find mine will update and clear on any encrypted channel.

Are you sure you have the correct files on your box?

thank you for your response. I have to restart the cam everytime it seems a key change has occured.

I think you are right I am not using the correct files.

I would be very grateful if u could attach the files I need, I think it would probly be the autoupdate files and the cable xml. I hope im correct.

Also could someone please confirm which folder they go into. Just want to make sure

keys and roms are found on rapidshare RapidShare: Easy Filehosting m8.

keys go into var/keys
roms go into var/scce

your cable xml shouldn't affect the channels clearing as this is used to find the channels by scanning the transopnders listed in it.

if it still acts up either try reflashing box or install a new emu

Also - Have you changed the file attributes for the keys folder to below-

chmod 755

/var/keys/
