try a couple diffrent versions of dreamup. Also try diffrent com ports if you have that option in dreamup.

have seen people with this problem before.

although one person that contacted me had flashed the box with gemini image and could not get a connection to the box.

Let us know how you get on.

              Hi There,

I am also having trouble with dreamup ( or maybe myself ) I have tried a couple of different dreamup downloads as suggested.
I follow the instructions to the letter, using windows xp with null com cable in com port only one on lappy . It coms up as com 3 in dreamup ...I get to where it says turn dreambox on and i do then it just sits there doing nowt....

              Any help gratefully recieved.

              Cheers

              B

                  Hiya thanks for responding...

No it just sits there as if waiting for box to be turned on, i guess it should say at bottom left what model?

Yes it usually comes up the model before its powered up. well with my dm500 it does. Then ones you power up it acknowleges the box then pings it and says it is talking to the box.

U sure it defo a null modem cable you got?

Most probably dead then. What images were flashed to it before?

Cheers that one has a 9 pin male which is the same as the back of the DM so wont fit, will have a search for a female one sure they do them.
I have also been looking in my device manager and cant find any com ports in there at all so may also be the problem...The port on the back of the pc has monitor image next to it so must be ok i would have thought?

                              Thanks for the help
