I assume this message would come up on a box without keys etc - is it illegal to use even a paid for VM connection for FTA only with a box that isn't made by VM? For example, if you find the VM box too big, buying a dreambox to replace it since it's alot smaller, but getting same channels as paying for. Would they allow this, or does EVERYTHING have to be VM if we are using their services?

i been told that the dm boxes can not talkback.
so is the only way you can get into strife by calling the number?
has anyone had a knock from boys in blue as a result of this?
i dont know, but know one seems that bothered by this stupid channel. if u have broadband with them or tv. can they tell what you recieving?
would really appreciate any useful info members have?

Read the full topic m8, if they knew they would be at your door trust me!., why else, just scare tactics mate, remember the golden rule, if you get a knock, you dont need to let anyone in YOUR house unless its the police with a warrant of course!

The only way is to grass yourself up, or somebody grassing you up.

I have heard of a few local people who have been paid a visit which resulted in them getting their main cable leads physically snipped from outside and for others who have been visited by the VM people with warrants resulting in a fine.

However, i don't quite know what the bait was for all of these, but some of those people were people whom had bought the stuff not knowing they are "dodgy" (yes they know they got all the channels, but not knowing that it's illegally done) and when it went off due to updates, they had called VM to say their box isn't working, and an engineer had come around to replace the box, but to find that what they meant was their unpaid channels had gone off, and thats it, busted.

I would really like to know though, what responses the vm staff have for customers phoning up to report this channel..

i have vm broadband, i did not use to. but as i now have broadband with them. if i watch dmbox while on the net going through a spiltter. can they monitor this?

is it better to just not subscribe to vm full stop if u , use a dmbox? i have learned from this site that dmbox dont talkback. but i have have realised they no something up if they dont get talkback. i have just stopped watching the box. well only if i really want to watch a match or fight. cos technically i dont know what vm can do?
i mean i been thinking if they really could find out who is using a box, why spend money on advertising for informers, i mean why bother why not just start nicking people??? wish i understood the technological side of things more, so i would no exactly what they can do and what they cant do.
