DM600 Backup up a 600 image, without a hard disk?

Just setting up my first 600 and feeling like a real noob after a few years of 500 playing.

I would like to backup the image once I've got it how I want it, but I have no disk for it yet and the only backup info I've seen requires a disk.

Is it possible to backup without one?

no i dont think you can, unless you mount a hard drive on your pc.
image is too large to backup in /tmp memory if i remember correctly
        boom!
