bit new to all this dream/black boxs but thinking of getting one
im in uk have a virgin feed. whats the best box to get dreambox 500c
or a blackbox.

plus how hard is it to setup and get all the chans i can get
ie...pay-per-view and so on!
any help for this neeb be brill

Hi zx12rcarl, welcome to DK all your problems will be solved on here mate
firstly, from my experience, theres no difference between blackbox and 500c
so both are as good as each other even though i think 500c is cheaper.
if you follow the guides, and are comfortable with ftp, set up is a painless experience. d/load the noobs guide and good luck!!!

Before you go and get yourself a dreambox you may want to check out some of the other boxes available for cable. Dreamboxes are great but not for everyone as they can be difficult to configure. If all you want to do is watch tv than a Eurovox will do the job as it is literally plug and play out of the box.

Am i right in thinking the DB500 isnt sold anymore apart from clones whihc i have read are can be bricks or can have better tuners in depending on who you talk too.
