DM500 dm500c is password protected

Good Day ,

i have try backup a image from my friend dm500 and flash it to my dm500 found out unable to work.
His dm500 is password protected and i am unable to copy any file through ftp.
I have try user name "root" password "dreambox" but still not able to log in
is there any way i can copy all file"key, rom,plugin" from his unit without password>?

No way you need to connect to the box first.

You could as him what his password was. And if thast fails reflash with dreamup with fresh image and use root dreambox.
