lost all my channels need help in getting them back???

hi everyone
i have had my dream box for approx 2 years and it has been great but i have now been without any channels since june and i am just after some advice on resetting the box back up.(by the way any help needs to be in a idiots guide form as am not to hot on this cheers for any advice

thanks for the reply but i have never connected the box to my pc i was thinking that i might be able to update via the controller? ie the keys?????

You want to fix your box you need to connect it to your pc, try this ;

did you connect to your pc

did you put the keys in your box are they in the right folders

tell us what you have done so far

yes mate i connected to the box via my pc and replaced the key files in the var folder but to no availe? i was thinking of taking it to bowlers computer fair (dont kow if you know it) to se if it can get fixed there? but i would rarther sort it myself so i know how to sort it next time. i was going to have a bash at starting from scratch with the box and uploading a new image on to it and then reflashing it? but i am bit new to all this and am not to sure that i wont get blinded by the science? cheer for any help that you can offer!

do a factory reset and then flash a new image and put all the keys etc and then scan for channels remember to read the stickies for getting ppv channels

ceers mate when you say keys etc i have the keys but what eles do i need? ta
