By far the quickest way to flash and back up an image. -
Can you help? I can't get Dk v1.1 yet so I am trying to use DigitalWorld Uk 2.0. I have it flashed and I have these magic files but I need to use Telnet to do something with them, I think to copy or something. I can't get it to work, it's doing my head in. I am able to get free channels so far but am ~~~~less about this Telnet stuff. I tried to copy and paste a command list I found but i wont work it keep saying there is no such file or directory. Please can you help?Comment

Sorry mate just recently logged on. No need to telnet.
Firstly ensure that your box and pc are talking to one another.

Download and FTP to the dreambox and copy the install.tar (this is the un-extracted winrar file you just downloaded) to your var/etc/ folder on your dreambox.
Reboot the box and thats it sorted - enjoy it while you can cant be to long until N3.Comment

N3 is a new (well to VM it is) encryption method that to date hasnt been cracked.
Your box will go down when it hits quicker than a hooker with Hugh Grant.Comment

cant see it being cracked as such but cardsharing or iks will result in a work around but you will be at the mercy of the server you are hooked up to.
You cant have long left mate as vm are on a roll so to speak. Once you get your new card throw the door you will have about 2-3 weeks before it hits.
