hi everyoe i am in the northwest and was wanting to know if anyone can help me out and let me know were i can get my dm500 fixed i have tried all the tips on here but none seem to work (maybe am doing something wrong?) cheers for any hep i really need to get back up and running as am missing all the footy

yeh sorry the problem is that i have no working channels at all i have had the box for about 2 years and not had any problms up untill about may since then i have not been using it but now that the footy season has kicked of i think it is time to get it sorted thanks for any help!!

Just seen you other thread, if you cant be arsed to try a fix your box so it will autoupdate,then the other option is do do a manual key entry.These can be got from a well known toolbar.

hi thanks i have already tried devilfishs but i think i acctually deleated the whole keys file by mistake?

just transfer the keys folder you downloaded back into the same place you deleted from. hace you transferred the files to the scce folder.
If you are still stuck it maybe best restart afresh and put a new image on. what image are you using??

not to sure what image i am using as you can probably guess am new to all this and that is why my dream has been gathing dust for the last 6 months how would i find the image? like i said i can connect to the dream from my pc usins ftp if it is easier to start a fresh then that might be the best option? cheers

reflash it using a null modem 9 pin cable using Dreamup program in the downloads section, flash it with the DK 1.1 image and then transfer the needed files using flash fxp theres a great guide in the dreambox downloads guides section everything needed is there. once you have done it you will think is that it, realy is simple. persevere and you will get there. any questions just ask. we are here to help.

see ....now hasnt that helped you out ,all that happened was your "magic files" have went missing and now you need to replace them ,read as much as you can on this problem it will help you in the long run ,good to see you can get into your box ,just look around on how to do what and put things where they need to go ,and if you get stuck you can allways come back and ask
