DB 500C Flashing

Sorry about this but the last time I flashed a box was over 2 years ago.
I have downloaded dk_1.1 as my old image another forum 1.1 (i think) has stopped working not even FTA I have down loaded flashfxp. When I start flashfxp I can see all the files on my DB but on my pc DK1.1 just shows as a img file surley I cant just drag a img file accross or can I??? please help

OK seems I cant flash DK1.1 using flashfxp over my existing image I have to re-flash using flash wizard so am going to try that

That seems to have worked at least it boots up into dk_1.1 but it wont lock on to any transponders. I will now try to find the magic files and flash them over

It should scan in channels without magic files.

You can choose your area from the list or scroll down to near the bottom of the list and you will see 'CableUK Sym6887' and 'CableUK Sym6952'. 6887 is for ex-ntl areas and 6952 is for ex-tw areas. Try these and you should see some results.

You could have flashed the image using flashfxp and telnet commands, there's a red sticky thread at the top of this section which explains how to achieve this.

I did look at all the sticky's but all I could find was how to fix your old image with flashfxp not how to re-flash a new image I expect I read it wrong. I am still trying to find a link to magic files the one on your thread does not appear to work anymore

Thanks will try them? Tried again to scan but failed using Cardiff tried brute force and it is now working or at least scanning. Noticed these files are from 2008 not fingers crossed they still work.
