I have only tried on a 600, images Jade and Nabilosatm both work, will try a 500 later, i think if you have a Pli image it should be fine.
Worth a try though, you cant do anything wrong, as long as you ftp the files in the correct place.

                      /var/tuxbox/plugins for dm500
                      /etc/tuxbox/plugins for dm600

icons can be placed where ever u want (except dm500 series as must be somewhere in /var) as u can specify via onscreen menus where there kept

                      chmod 755 the .so file

                      cheers

ps some images require the lib file located in download just ftp over to /lib or /var/lib (depending on image ) should let if work fine

You extract the files until you get the .tar.gz file.
Copy the .tar.gz file to the /tmp folder on your box.
Use the addons menu in your image, choose 'manual addon'.
Select the tar.gz file from the list. If your image does not recognise it, rename it to .tar.bz2 and try again. When installed, the image should put the files in their proper location.
Extract the picons folder and put them in the folders that osborne82 says above.
Restart enigma or reboot the box.
The plugin should be accessable from the plugins menu, usually one of the coloured buttons, yellow or blue.
Your box will probably need to be connected to a router and have internet access for this plugin to work.
