Dreambox works on mines but not down my mates. HELP!

Guys,

Need some help. Based in Leicester. My dreambox 600pvr works absolutly fine. iolite image ecocamd2.17b used. All good. Recieving all channels.

However, my mate has taken the box of me. He is based in Coventry. Plugs it in, thinkin its going to workk fine but nothing. no channels not even the freeview ones. Restarted cam still nothing. Why is this. Can someone please help

One other thing, in in an ntl area. I dnt no if he is ntl or telewest. Neither does he, was an active connection he had. We definatly know it is live tho

I have random channels now like god channel and uk gold and things like that but no bbc 1, 2, itv, ssports or movies. Why is this?

I set up down mines, but my mate has set up down his, i have told him over phone what to go and all seems good to me. but no idea why.

so you have a feed because you have pictures on some channels

has he scanned for channels

no i havent, i had all the bouquets and services set up on mine, i forte it wuold be a plug in and play at his place. just restarting the card, am i wrong in assuming this

try rescanning m8, should do the trick. if you have bruteforce use that option otherwise you will have to find out if its 6887 or 6952 for his area

im not 100% on this but i think different areas have different frequencies

and i dont know if thats run from the same network

get your m8 to do a manual scan

fec>auto
symbol rate>6887
network serach>tick
start scan

he is ntl as well i think
but it might be some thing to do with the area frequency maybe
it worth a try
it should not make a difference to your bouquets
