hi all hope some one can help me a friend asked me to have a look at his dream box 500cwhich went off the other nite in belfast he done a factory restart on it now when i try to do a scan 4 him im getting nothing wat so ever if nver had one of these befor and am not 2 sure how to get it up and runnig again 4 him i have a cross over cable and a RS232 Null Modem Cable all help wellcamed thanks in advance

its been a while but if i remember right the factory reset deletes the cam and the auto update files (magic files)
easiest fix is to make a backup of a working image and flash it to your friends box use dreamup its slow but does the best job -
