    DM800 Where can I buy a genuine DM800?

Just wondering as i've made my mind up, i want an HD capable box with good picture quality compared to DBOX 2, with the ability to have images updated etc. Thanks in advance!

I was under the impression that the DM800 also upscaled the picture on normal channels too, at least i'm sure i read that somewhere. Can anyone shed some light on this?

yeah it can output 720p and 1080i.

Personally i wish it would just output at the resolution of the broadcast and let my tv do the upscaling so as the image isnt going through 2 sets of scaling ( on sky hd you can set automatic which allows for this )

however on the plus side the picture quality is much better than my virgin box so it could be worth investing and with the virgin network maxed out i believe there wont be any more hd channels being added although im not 100% sure on that maybee someone else could confirm

LOL m8, you could always bang a SAT Tuner in when you get bored of cable as there are loads of HD channels on that.

The dm800 hd is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for i suppose. Are there alternatives to this box that still receive hd and have the ability to have images changed etc?

not sure but another thing to note is that the dm800 only has 1 tuner so you cant record 1 channel and watch another
