    Dreambox DM-600 pvr

    Been a long time user of the trusty Dm-500, but rcencently have been looking into a pvr solution for cable.
    Can anybody who owns and runs a 600 please sell one to me (not literally!!), i mean the pro's and con's.
    I understand that the unit has space for 2.5" HDD, so what capacitys of drive are you guy's using and what images work best for them.

    Many thanks, incidentally did not know this site existed until today, been a long standing member (donated) on an another digital forum but seems to have got a bit stale recently.

      dk_v1 is the best file for the dm600 pvr thats the 1 ihave and working well.,

          You can just use a NAS drive on your dreambox 500 mate and it will do the same thing as the 600 - although the 600 does look more sleek m8.

          I had a 600 and loved it as I used it for SAT TV and it was much better than my humax 5400, but it was good for cable as well.

              another thing about the 600 is that you can interchange the tuner as its a plug and play tuner. so you can have a cable,sat or terrestrial tuner.
              is it a bird?......is it a plane?.....NO ITS MY CHEAP CLONE FROM CHINA GOING OUT THE ~~~~ING WINDOW.

                      I don't think the DK image works on the 600.

                      I've found the Jade image from PLi to be the best so far.

                          The DM500 is a cheap and cheerful box whereas the dm600 has better tuner, has pvr capabilities and overall is better box. I have a dm600 and dm500 and feel that the dm500 will do the job but if you want a hassle free time than it is worth spending the extra money. I use the Pli image on my dm600 as that one has the longer epg and the now and next infbar for uk cable.

                              dm-600 is a very god dreamox. I have used it for about 1 year without any problem.

                                      Dont flash a 500 image on a 600.
                                      Checkout the RED stickies massive amount of info and effort been put into them.
