Protective plug on Digital Audio out ain't budging

On the back of my 500-C the Digital Audio Out plastic protective plug seems to be almost molded into the bloody circuit board...tried pulling it out but seems fairly wedged in there.
Didn't want to force it much more as the part that should house the connector itself was moving with it.

Are these normally wedged in there cause I don't fancy tearing out the entire connector from the circuit board?

Never seen this myself. They usually come out. Try twisting it or levering it out using point of a knife.

Took a knife to the bugger and after a loud snap it flew off and nearly hit the ceiling.
Don't know if the plug had expanded or something but it took a lot of force to remove it.

Off with his head Shady Rebcrep you can't just go around making aimless posts the site mods will just delete them and may even ban you. Look in the more general threads computers, TV, music etc I'm sure you will find something you can sensibly comment on
