Check your network settings. You should have the the something like 192.168.0.1 or similar set as the gateway ip address depending on what router you have installed. You will also need to set a VM DNS name server listed in the config.

As far as I know the addon server has been disabled at this time.

The addons server is fully operational, always has been since we launched the image.

Go to the shutdown menu and select 'reboot now'. Try again once it boots up.

It is all to do with the Communication seetiings' on your dreambox. If you select DHCP than your router will assign an ip address and all the rest if you do not select DHCP than you have to assign the default gateway and DNS nameserver.

As Curious123 says if you're not using DHCP need to set gateway and DNS in Communications setup. I can never remember NTL / Virgin DNS addresses so I've set both gateway and DNS the same ie router and works fine.

On your pc select Start > Run and type in cmd and this will bring up the dos prompt.

In the dos prompt type in ipconfig /all this will display all the ip address settings , in one of them you will find the ip address for your name server. Insert this ip address on your dreambox and hopefully that should sort your problem.

You need to put the router ip address in the default gateway section.

This is normally 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 depending on your manufacturer. It's the ip address you use to access the router web interface, i.e. to set up wireless.
