Is it best to do this to make sure you get the maximum amount of channels from all networks?

I have been scanning all different networks near my area (Southgate, North London) and every time I get a few new channels.

Does bruteforce scan them all? And is it safe? ie doesn't make it easier to get caught?

bruteforce scan all transponders on all frequencies and is totally safe to use
it does take a wee bit longer though

cool thanks, so should it pick up things like sky box office too? Also does it come up as sky box office on the list or will it have a strange name being a PPV channel? Cheers!

sky box office wont be picked up, but if someone in your area has ordered a film or an event, you will be able to watch it too. dont know what channel name is though. you can add sky box office sports manually.

Bruteforce is part of the cable xml file m8.

ftp the cables.xml file to var/etc folder on your box. Yoou should be able to find the file in the download section. BTW it is ok to take the CAPS off when you are typing your post.

did it reflashed updatad found cables.xml file sent to var/etc by ftp thanks for help
