DM 800 question

is there a way to make a DM 800 to be able to record a channel and view another channel?

I used before a record box before. Yes I am able to record from 9PM till 10PM while watching another channel on the same timing.
I can even record and watch an old record program from the list at the same time. (Example I miss TopGear Ep#4, airing Ep#5 now. I can record and watch Ep#4. After I finish Ep#4, I can run Ep#5 when Ep#5 is still recording..)

I am not sure about DM 800. Perhape you try and update us ?

Yes if they are on the same transponder.

An other way is to plug in a USB-DVB-Device.
I have heard about this solution, but never tried by myself.

A friend of mine has a DM800 and i am wondering if it is possible for me to buy a DM800, make an image from his device and flash his image to my device. Will that works or do i need to do something else?

he can do a back up image and service and bouquet files and transfer them to your box np am assuming were talking about sat?

Well, Actually my friend has the cable at home and he got the box from a guy who said to my friend that he has to pay him 10? / month to get all the channel + the price of the device.
Could it be that the box his connecting to the guy to decrypt the code and send it back?

Ok, so it could be a client/server situation. How can i check if it is the case?
Then it is possible to make it work without c/s. Since if i put the key in, it should work straight away, correct?
