Any image shouldn't case a humming noise, it's probably hardware related, i.e. the dreambox itself or the sacrt cable.

You said you checked the scart cable but have you changed it?

Also try using the 3 phono outputs instead of the scart.

Now this may sound a bit silly, but I was messing about with my box tonight and when I pulled the RF lead that goes to the TV there was a humming noise put it back and it went away Try an rf lead to tv and see if it stops

              May be onto something here

Actually noticed if I take out the RF cable the humming noise does drop a bit, pretty sure its a hardware issue if I put it on mute I can still hear the humming starting to think it may be caused by a Bang and Olafson signal booster I have, I'll take that out of the equation and see how I get on. Thanks for the guidance guys
