    500c not responding to remote

I,ve a 500c with DK v1 on it and its not responding to the remote, and yes I've changed the batteries .
Is there a way to check if the remote is transmitting to the box with a phone camera or something along those lines??
I read it somewhere but cant recall.
The receiving lense on the 500c is clean but still no joy.
Has anyone come across this on before.

only thing i can suggest is , can you borrow a remote control off a mate , one that works, and vice versa get him to try yours.

i know you have to point the remote directly to the right place on a 500. so weak batteries will be no good. But you say you replaced them.

Don't think it is a common problem though one or two people on the forum have had similar problems. Try taking the cover of your dreambox and making sure the cable to your sensor on the dreambox is properly secure.

I had a similar problem recently, the green light was blinking in response to the remote but the channel changing was eratic or non existent, it turned out to be the small remote recieve board behind the front panel which i had to replace. You could have a look at that board anyway to make sure the infra red recieve thingy is lined up with the hole ok.

i had the same problem a while back

and this cured the problem, the connector inside had come out.
