    LOSS OF CHANNELS

    Hi.
    new to this and need a pointer. Im on the db 500c and lost all channels?? any idea on how to get theses back.

      If your in a Nagra 3 are you wont get them back.

      Today's report is black and white.The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
      The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

                  It's a new encryption being rolled out by Virgin.Look here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...tml#post682958 all boxes will be gone for ever soon. Some already have. see if your area has gone to Nagra 3 now.

                      im from kent but my actual location was'nt on there. although kent was on (Areas switched/switching over to Nagra 3)

                      this is crap ,

                      Do u think there will be away round this? im sure there will be sumone smart enough to crack the new encryption.

                          of course there will be away round this, but in the mean time start giving VM some money back by paying for channels.

                          After all they have spent a fortune to change the decryption to stop people from hacking their service.

                          you have 3 options , either start paying Virgin media for TV, or get Sky installed or get a motorised dish and sat reciever..

                          the 2 companies VM and SKY are battling for new customers and are giving some great deals out at the mo...

                          sorry you wont want to read this but its real, and that is the way it will be for a long time to come.

                          I got a 12 month package from SKY, every channel ( HD, Sport Movies the lot ) , free installation, free Sky + HD box ?24 a month for 12 month, the offer is finished now but there is other offers, one of them is free box, free installation, free 2 month and ?50 marks and spencer voucher.

                              only channels i want are skysports 1,2,3,4 and espn. new seasons kicks of in under a month . there so expensive but i have had my moneys worth. VM have dun nothin but mess me around hense the reason to gettin D-BOX. Looks like they've won for now but the war has not ended.

                                  Is that it then? Surely there will eventually be a fix?
                                  We got issued a new card a month or so ago but I still have my dreambox 600 plugged in as although it has lost all the movie channels I still have all the Sky Sports channels?

                                      nagra 3 isnt new encryption its been around for a couple of years and sorry to burst your bubble but better minds all over the world have tried and havent succeded ,and very soon youll lose all your sports channels too sorry m8
