DM500 Need help flashing dm500c black box clone receiver

Ok, I have a dm500c clone above which I previously bought and can't be flashed :

    1) Setup menu locked by password
    2) DHCP not enabled (There is no IP from the box) by default
    3) Dreamup does not respond to it (I have used the software with null modem cable on other authentic boxes with no problems). Already tried a few versions of dreamup
    4) No tux commander plugin nor dreamkeyeditor (for key input)

I really need to flash it but am out of ideas. Any other alternatives?

Can someone tell me if the design and layout matches the authentic dm500c and whether the rs-232 cable is plugged in the right way?

        I have a blackbox too.

        1) Try password 0000, it works for me.
        2) You can enable DHCP from setup, however I believe you need to key in the password first.
        3) Dreamup v 1.3.6 does not work for me, it stop halfway during flash and says process aborted by user. Null modem cable works fine when I flash for Dreamup 1.3.4. If Dreamup does not respond to your box, check your cable. There is striaght cable which does not work like null modem cable. Refer to post from SGStarhub Digital-Kaos Image #2550.
        4) Tuxcommander plugin need to be downloaded, it doesn't come default with the system. I don't think you need Dreamkey editor if you are flashing in the image with keys.

Try to follow the steps in SGStarhub Digital-Kaos Image #2560. I have encountered many errors while setting up my box and try to simplify for others. Hopefully no problem for you.

          1) 0000 doesn't work
          2) Doesn't apply since password is incorrect
          3) I already mentioned that there's no problems with the cable as I flashed a few authentic dm500c using it with no issues... duh..

          Thanks anyway...

is that a Terestrial tuner? i thought all the modern cable clones came with f-type connectors?

It is an F type connector in it. But it also has an RF output.

Also have a go with flashwizard the easiest program for flashing a box. ;-) or dreamup the an older version (not the latest)

The cable is correct. Might be the hardware giving way? My ethernet connection is on/off sometimes. Try the null cable but restart it a few times if it doesn't "hook" on.
Otherwise... it's 9999 pins to try. Just power off and on every 2 times you get it wrong so that it doesn't trigger the wrong-pin-lock.

I have the exact same problem. However, mine is the authentic DM500C. Flashed a clone successfully with the null modem cable, however, when i plugged in the power for this set, no response.

Set came with password set so there is no chance to enable DHCP and flash via ethernet. Anyone with a solution?

I tried many possible PIN combinations with no luck. I don't have the time or patience to attempt it for 9999 times as I got better things to do..

At least you are still able to get dreamup to work..

I have one clone and one dreambox 500c = Two sets

Clone: Dreamup works and able to flash ( That means the null modem cable and image works fine)

DM500c: Dreamup cant load bootloader.. That is the puzzling part
