    a strange prob with dreambox 500

    ok i moved the image over to the tmp folder with filezila ok to flash but when i got to run and connect with dreambox it asks for login i put in root then it asks for password and i go to type dreambox but it wont let me type anything unless i hit enter to bring it to the line below then dosent let me have the time to type it in and just says incorrect? a strange prob anybody have any ideas??

    you may check the link that show how to flash the dreambox

    there are many ways eg telnet, dreamup etc

      If you insist on using Filezilla, try downloading diff. version of
      fileza, one you are using may be corrupt.
      SIMPLEST solution is null modem cable & Dreamup.

        Try the steps from below link. I tried to copy the image over via FTP and flash by upgrading the software, but it doesn't work. Filezilla is a good FTP software I have been using for years. You can key in the host, username and password and do a quickconnect. I think you are trying to flash via telnet from the look of it. Have you connect to the host already? You will need to press 'o', enter, then it will prompt you for the host. Do a print screen if possible, so that we can understand more about the problem you encountered.

          The easiest way for me it's always been flashwizard like 123 if that fail for any reasons then a NON late version of dreamup will do (could take 20min if not over the ethernet) dreamup it's quicker then a FLAAAASH ;-)
