DM500 Channel updates

Quick question for all you guys in the know.
Wenever new channels appear on virgin tv my box does not show them.In order for me to receive them i would have to do a complete new scan of all the channels available whereas a mate gets them automatically.What would i need to do so the box updates itself with new channel listings ?

Buy a box ,that scans in standbye..but i wouldnt bother.

enigma scans in the background anyway m8 check your all services and look for a ! infront of any channel/s these are the ones it picked up on its own
but some images have a disable services updated feature (normaly under expert setup) check yours isnt ticked

Tried the suggestion but i don't seem to have the services update feature mentioned.I checked in all the places you can look but it aint there.
